Salt Creek
Well today the weather was nice and warm and sunny so we decided to head to the beach for a bit! The girls had a fab time, diggin for sand crabs, fetching and carrying water, throwing the ball! It gave me a chance to sit nad read and do nothing which was also great!
The other huge plus was that the beach was far from crowded.

San Diego 6
So here was Jirra the Kangaroo, who was adorable!! The next bit with the cheetah was amazing!! this golden retriever and the cheetah were put together as babies and literally have grown up together and
do not like to be apart! They use the dog to teach the cheetah things! It was an amazing relationship to see!
San Diego 5
So the next show we went to was with wild animals! We had this red hog called Murphy from Africa , followed byan emu called Daphne who had been performing for 20 years, followed by a little Kangaroo, who was adorable and then by a Cheetah, of course the girls were really excited about that one! Lastly by a wolf!
San Diego Zoo 1
Well on the spur of the moment we decided to visit San Diego Zoo! WE were suitable impressed by the size of the place and also how much they try to make a natural habitat for the animals! We did not manage to do the whole zoo, but thank goodness we have passes as we would love to make anohter trip out there soon!
WE started at the first show which had 3 sea lions participating
, doing tricks, also 2 Macaws flew around the stadium. The trainers are excellent with the animals!
Easter
So herewith our gorgeous girls against the apple blossom tree! The tradition here is to go Easter egg hunting. The girls have certainly enjoyed doing that
and each managed a basket full! We had a lovely day at Dennis and Gloria, very relaxing, loads of food nadlots of giggles - as per normal when we are there!

The Park
Yesterday was such a great sunny and warm day that after the homework was completed, we went to the park and the girls got to play! It is great the bond they have and they really do play well together!
Kaela moved into Becca's room a few weeks ago as she wanted to sleep over but has not left yet! The 2 of them are thick as thieves!
Kaela is 5
Well hard to beleive but Kaela is 5!! We planned her party at the Lake just down the road from us
. THe day turned out to be freeezing cold but that did not deter the children from having a whale of a time whilst the adults all huddled at the BBQ! My very capable sis made Kaela's cake and that was Dora the Explorer. WE got there about 2 hours before to set up everything and make sure we had all we needed. There were about 40 of us in total! Needless to say Kaela had a great time and we finally had to give in and leave as it started to rain, so folk came to the house to watch her open her pressies! Funnily enough, the next day was warm and sunny!!
